Move up or down a plan at Settings → Plan & billing. An upgrade starts straight away, and a downgrade waits for your next renewal.
Open Settings → Plan & billing and find Change plan.
Pick Monthly or Yearly. The Max plan is monthly only.
Choose Upgrade or Downgrade on the plan you want.
Check what the summary says and choose Confirm.
Moving up
The new plan starts straight away. The summary shows what you're charged now, less the unused time on your current plan.
You keep the usage you have left, and the bigger plan's extra usage is added for the rest of the cycle.
From your next billing date you get the new plan's full monthly usage.
Moving from Monthly to Yearly also moves your billing date to the day you switch, and the summary explains how your usage carries over.
Moving down
Nothing changes until your next renewal, and nothing is charged now. You keep your current plan and its monthly usage until then.
The plan you're moving to shows Switches with the date, and Undo next to it if you change your mind.
The smaller plan's monthly usage starts on that date.
What a smaller plan means
Usage packs keep their balance and their expiry date.
Nothing is deleted. If the smaller plan allows fewer Series than you have, the ones you've got keep posting, but you can't add another until you archive one. Archiving is permanent.
If it allows fewer YouTube channels than you've connected, a Series that posts to a channel over the limit skips its posts and tells you why.
The Starter plan has no motion videos, no High image quality on Lite and no Agent in the editor. Those are on the Creator plan and up.
When you can't switch
Plan changes are off while a payment needs attention, while your plan is paused or set to pause, while it's set to cancel, or while another change is already scheduled. Sort that out on Plan & billing first, and the buttons come back.
