If a month runs long and your monthly usage won't cover it, a usage pack keeps you going. Go to Settings → Usage and find Usage packs, or choose Buy more usage on the Extra usage card at Settings → Plan & billing. Only the workspace owner or an admin can buy one.
You buy a pack by the dollar amount of usage you want. Pick $20, $50, $250 or $1,000, or type any whole amount from $10 to $2,000. Bigger packs cost less:

So a $250 pack costs $200, and a $1,000 pack costs $700. Every purchase gets the discount for its own size, however many you buy, there's no monthly cap, and the checkout shows the exact price before you pay.
Packs don't reset. Your monthly usage is spent first, then your packs, and each pack stays on your account until you use it or until 2 years after you bought it.
On a plan, packs are only spent while Extra usage is switched on. It's off until you need it: you'll find the switch on the Extra usage card at Settings → Plan & billing, next to "Keep creating with extra usage when you reach your monthly limit.", and it turns on by itself when you buy a pack. Turn it off if you'd rather save your packs, and when your monthly usage runs out, renders wait for the reset instead.
Packs are made for topping up a plan. If your plan ends, the packs you have stay on your account until they expire, and they still let you make and download videos, but publishing to YouTube, Series and agents that create or publish for you all need a plan. You can't buy a pack while a payment needs attention, so fix that at Settings → Plan & billing first, or while your account is on hold.
