Every Series has an approval setting:
Auto-publish: posts go straight to YouTube on schedule. Best for a Series you trust to run itself.
Manual approval: every post waits for you. Approve it, re-roll a layer (re-rolls cost credits), or skip it entirely.
Your first post is always held for review, whichever setting you pick. Nothing publishes until you've approved the first one. That's how you confirm the vibe is right before the autopilot takes over.
Approve a waiting post before its slot and it publishes right on schedule. Approve it after the slot has passed and it publishes shortly after you approve.
